Rabbi Joshua Jacobs-Velde: "Nature-Connected Qigung and Kabbalah"
Come and learn some simple qigung practices that can help us attune to the flow of vital energy in the natural world. We'll also devote some time to exploring the Kabbalistic analog to the Chinese idea of chi known as "chi'ut." Wear comfortable clothes.
Rabbi Daria Jacobs-Velde: "Mussar- A Spiritual Practice for Patience, and More!"
Do you find that you get impatient? Learn how to control your impatience. Mussar is a Jewish practice that creates an environment which brings unconscious impediments to light and replaces them with a consciousness of living a more mindful life. You will leave this course understanding yourself better and with specific tools to help you navigate the daily slippery slope of being in relation to others and the feelings and actions that goes along with those encounters.
Building on our success of the last two years we are expanding the Day of Jewish Learning to include three sessions, giving you the opportunity to choose more classes. Classes feature a variety of Jewish related topics. You choose what you want to do!
The classes will be followed by a complimentary social hour featuring teacher/ musician, Mark Levy from Santa Cruz. Light refreshments and beverages will be served.
For more information contact, Lori Pahler, firstname.lastname@example.org or 707-528-4222.
Childcare will be upstairs in Room 25. It will be free. No diaper changes. Parents must be at the event, sign in, leave a cell phone number and the Room number of their learning session.
The babysitters are two sisters who attend our Teen Program, Chaverim.
